The Cerros Colorados House is located on a one acre site in a wooded neighborhood in the Santa Fe foothills. Corner windows and a clerestory were utilized to provide abundant natural light for this 2,528 sf home. Due to expansive soils, consisting of shale and limestone, a micropile foundation was used. Native limestone excavated from the site was incorporated into the fireplace and landscaping. Two outdoor living spaces including a large covered patio frame the beautiful landscape.
