Takeshita House

Santa Fe, New Mexico

2011

The Takeshita House is a 2,513 sf Stamm home in the Historic District which was built in the 1950's. My client inherited the house and wanted to make it their own by reworking the exterior and adding on.

I produced as-built plans and elevations as well as the permit set. I also assisted the client with the Historic Design Review process by providing drawings and diagrams of the new elevations for approval.

The house is perched on a hillside sloping down to a large arroyo. To ensure stability on a sloped site, I worked with a structural engineer which proved to be an invaluable learning experience.
